Assist. Prof. Nikolaos Thomaidis (Coordinator)

Dr Nikolaos S. Thomaidis is an Assist. Professor  at the School of Economics,  Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (GR), and also the Director of Applied Economics Lab. He received his MSc in Mathematics & Finance from Imperial College London (UK) and his PhD in Computational Methods for Financial Engineering from the University of the Aegean (GR), under the scholarship of “Alexander S. Onassis” Public Benefit Foundation and a grant from Empirikion Foundation. Since 2014, he has also worked as Lecturer at the School of Economics  (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, GR) and Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Financial Engineering and Management (University of the Aegean, GR) teaching Econometrics, Financial Econometrics, Portfolio Management, Financial Risk Analysis and Derivatives. Prof. Constantinos Katrakilidis

Dr. Katrakilidis is currently Professor of Econometrics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (GR), Department of Economics. He graduated and received his postgraduate diploma and doctoral degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and continued with post-doctoral research at the KV University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Dr.Katrakilidis has lectured extensively on topics of theoretical and applied Econometrics at the Department of Economics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as well as on Statistics and Operational Research at the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki (GR) and the Technological Educational Institute of Serres (GR).  Read more here…

Assist. Prof. Pandelis Biskas

Assist. Prof. Pandelis N. Biskas received the Dipl.-Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (GR) in 1999 and 2003, respectively. From March 2005 till July 2009 he was a wholesale market expert at the Hellenic TSO, Market Operation Department. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research interests are in power system operation & control, electricity market operational and regulatory issues, and market simulation and modeling. Read more here…
